About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and reliable
Purchaser
with at least
2 years of experience in a Ship Chandler company
. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in marine supplies, sourcing, vendor coordination, and purchasing procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Source, negotiate, and purchase marine products and supplies
Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of items
Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams for stock availability
Evaluate suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships
Ensure all purchases meet company quality and cost standards
Requirements:
Minimum
2 years experience
in a
Ship Chandler
or marine supply company
Strong knowledge of marine products and procurement procedures
Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
