We are looking for a candidate who can keep track of all purchase acquisitions and purchase orders on a regular basis. Assist Purchasing Manager in implementing system and strategies to keep the purchasing department running efficiently.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor stock levels and identify purchasing needs
Research potential vendors
Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
Track orders and ensure timely delivery
Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
Conduct market research to identify pricing trends
Evaluate offers from vendors and negotiate better prices
Prepare cost analyses
Maintain updated records of invoices and contracts
Follow up with suppliers, as needed, to confirm or change orders
Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure all products arrive in good condition
Assist Purchasing Manager to come up with system and procedure to ensure efficient and effective management of purchasing department

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Executive or similar role
Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating and liaising with vendors)
