Purchasing Officer

Key Responsibilities

As a Purchasing Officer, your primary focus will be managing the procurement process efficiently and effectively. This includes:

Supplier Management:

Identify and evaluate

potential suppliers and vendors based on price, quality, service, and reliability. Develop and maintain

strong relationships

with key vendors. Resolve issues related to invoices, shortages, or damaged goods promptly with suppliers. Stay updated on

market trends

, pricing, and new product developments to inform purchasing decisions.

Procurement Execution:

Request and compare

quotations

, negotiate terms, and finalize purchase orders. Prepare and process

purchase orders

and essential documentation in line with company policies. Monitor stock levels and

place orders as needed

to maintain optimal inventory. Ensure the

timely delivery

of materials to prevent production or service delays.

Internal Coordination & Reporting:

Coordinate closely with internal departments (e.g., sales, finance) to accurately understand

material requirements

. Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance in our

ERP system

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree.

Experience:

2-3 years of prior experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

Technical:

Strong

knowledge and skill in Microsoft Excel

.

Advantageous:

Experience in the purchase of

FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods)

or

Food products

is a significant plus.
Salary Range

AED 3,500 - 5,000

(All-inclusive, based on experience).
