We are looking for an Engineering background candidate, with strong understanding of automotive production processes and strong understanding of automotive procurement and inventory management strategies.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the spare parts inventory system at our manufacturing unit.
Ensure timely procurement and availability of spare parts for production lines.
Collaborate with maintenance, repair, and operations teams for parts requirements.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain inventory levels.
Lead the Source-to-Contract (S2C) process, including supplier identification, selection, and negotiation.
Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers, ensuring alignment with business goals and optimizing supplier performance.
Managing direct procurement processes, including the purchasing or obtaining of automotive spare parts, materials, resources and services.
Managing indirect procurement, including the purchasing of goods, services, supplies, and materials needed for daily operations
Develop and enforce procurement procedures and policies.
Prepare reports on inventory status, physical stock taking, and key metrics.
Managing the procure-to-pay process, including requisitioning, purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and paying for goods and services.
Collaborating with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met.
Finalizing purchase details and processing purchase requests and purchase orders
Tracking key metrics and KPIs to reduce costs
Collaboration with Production and Design Teams:
Partner with engineering and product development teams to address any production challenges, facilitate new product launches, or improve existing processes.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management:
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure a steady supply of high-quality materials, parts, and components. Oversee inventory management to minimize excess and ensure production schedules are met.
