Job Summary:

The Purchase & Insurance Officer plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of a healthcare facility by managing the procurement of medical equipment and supplies, and overseeing insurance processes related to both patients and staff. The role demands efficiency in sourcing medical products and expertise in coordinating with health insurance providers to support clinical and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing Duties:

Procure medical consumables, Dental & Dermatology, instruments and general hospital supplies. Source and evaluate vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery. Issue purchase orders and monitor supply chain and stock levels in coordination with the pharmacy, stores, and clinical departments. Track delivery schedules, inspect received items, and manage vendor performance. Ensure compliance with healthcare procurement policies and regulatory requirements.

Insurance Duties:

Manage employee medical insurance coverage, renewals, and claims. Handle patient insurance coordination including eligibility verification, pre-approvals, and claim submissions should have QLM & ALKOOT experience. Liaise with health insurance companies and third-party administrators (TPAs) for claim follow-ups and dispute resolution. Maintain insurance records and generate regular reports for management and audits. Ensure proper documentation for all insurance transactions and uphold compliance with healthcare regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Immediate joining. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in healthcare procurement and medical insurance coordination. Familiarity with healthcare supply chain systems and medical insurance networks. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding (ICD/CPT), and insurance claim processes.
