The Purchase Assistant - Handbags will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, assisting with vendor coordination, order tracking, inventory management, and administrative tasks related to sourcing and purchasing handbags. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in fashion accessories, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the purchasing team in sourcing handbags and related products from domestic and international suppliers.
Coordinate with vendors to obtain product quotes, lead times, and samples.
Prepare purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain accurate records of orders, vendor information, and product specifications.
Monitor inventory levels and suggest reorders based on sales trends and stock movement.
Communicate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth receipt and inspection of goods.
Conduct market research to identify trends, new suppliers, and potential products.
Provide administrative support for the purchasing department including filing, reporting, and system updates.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Fashion Merchandising, or related field (preferred).
1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain - fashion industry experience a plus.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP or inventory software is a plus.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Interest in fashion trends and product development.
