The Purchase Assistant - Cookware will support the procurement team in sourcing, purchasing, and maintaining adequate stock levels of cookware items. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the smooth operation of the purchasing department.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the procurement of cookware products, raw materials, and packaging materials as per company requirements.
Source and evaluate suppliers, obtain quotations, and negotiate pricing and payment terms.
Prepare purchase orders (POs) and ensure accuracy in item details, quantity, and delivery timelines.
Follow up with suppliers for order confirmations, dispatch schedules, and on-time deliveries.
Maintain and update supplier database, product catalogues, and pricing lists.
Coordinate with the warehouse and quality team for goods inspection, stock verification, and discrepancies.
Track inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts of cookware items.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and standards.
Assist in analyzing purchase trends and generating periodic procurement reports.
Support in import documentation, customs clearance, and logistics coordination when required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in cookware, kitchenware, or household items industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of procurement processes, inventory management, and ERP systems.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
