Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced

Purchase Assistant

with a strong background in the

UAE construction industry

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in procurement activities, ensuring timely purchasing of construction materials, tools, and equipment, and maintaining strong vendor relationships while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Support:

Assist in sourcing and purchasing construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on deliveries, ensuring materials arrive on time and in good condition. Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and stores to understand material requirements and stock levels.

Supplier Management:

Maintain a database of approved suppliers and subcontractors. Obtain quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, and delivery timelines.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of purchases, quotations, POs, invoices, and delivery notes. Prepare weekly and monthly procurement reports for management. Ensure all procurement documents comply with internal control and audit requirements.

Market Knowledge:

Keep abreast of market trends, new materials, and suppliers in the UAE construction market. Ensure the best value procurement through knowledge of local and international suppliers.

Compliance & Coordination:

Ensure purchases comply with company procurement policies and project budgets. Coordinate with finance for timely supplier payments. Work closely with the logistics and warehouse team for incoming material inspections.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 2

-4 years of experience

in a similar role within the

UAE construction industry

. Strong knowledge of

construction materials

, procurement practices, and local suppliers in the UAE. Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work under pressure with tight deadlines. Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
