Job Summary:

The ACCS department specialises in the design, manufacturing and installation of aisle containment and caging in data centres. As a highly skilled Machine Operator you will be responsible for operating and maintaining Amada Punch Machines in accordance with technical drawings and specifications to produce precision components for data centre installations. Contributing to the successful delivery of our solutions to the client you will have extensive technical experience with punch machines, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to quality and precision.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

Setting up and operating automated and manual CNC punch machines to cut, shape, and form metal components according to specifications.

Reading and interpreting technical drawings ensuring that the components produced meet the exact requirements of the design, understanding the specific needs of each project and to providing feedback on manufacturability and improvements.

Monitoring machine operations to ensure proper functioning to ensure parts are being produced according to specifications and make necessary adjustments to maintain product quality, maximise efficiency and reduce waste.

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Make adjustments as necessary to maintain precision.

Perform routine maintenance on punch machines to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise.

Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns to the supervisor.

Adjusting punch tools and maintaining programs to eliminate errors calibrating the machines regularly, ensuring that the tooling is correctly configured, and adjusting settings to align with the specific requirements of each project. Identify patterns that might lead to errors and allows for pre-emptive measures to be taken.

Planning and coordinating daily production tasks efficiently, working closely with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including machine settings, output, and maintenance logs.

Represent the business, upholding our core values and behaviours with all internal and external customers, clients and third parties

Maintain business and client confidentiality, adhering to applicable Data Protection regulations and Information Security Standards in line with company, and group policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Skills and Experience

Previous experience operating Amanda punch machines or similar equipment is required.

Proficiency with hand tools and experience in materials handling and tooling.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. Strong mechanical aptitude.

Excellent attention to detail, demonstrating precision and accuracy, maintaining machinery and product quality.

Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machine issues.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as needed.
