Duties and Responsibilities
As Public Relations Officer, I will support and assume responsibility for the efficient operation of the Human Resources department to provide exceptional products and services within brand operating standards. My key role will be to support the Director of Human Resources in managing all government-related processes for the hotel, ensuring legal compliance and efficient handling of employee documentation and licenses. The role also supports HR and operational departments in maintaining smooth relations with UAE authorities and regulatory bodies.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
- Handle all visa processes, including applications, renewals, cancellations, and Emirates ID for employees.
- Liaise with Dubai Government departments (MOHRE, GDRFA, DED, Dubai Police, etc.) to ensure compliance.
- Oversee labor card and work permit issuance and tracking.
- Manage medical testing and health card applications for new and existing hosts.
- Track and manage residency renewals and visa expiry alerts to avoid fines.
- Ensure up-to-date knowledge of UAE labor and immigration laws.
- Maintain accurate PRO-related records and reports for audit and compliance.
- Provide guidance to employees and HR on government documentation processes.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with government representatives and authorities.
To execute the position of Public Relations Officer, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and more than five years' experience in a similar human resources role, preferred.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Computer programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and Human Resources/payroll systems. ADP/Timesaver experience preferred.
Professional HR designation (PHR, SPHR or other) preferred.
Fluent in Arabic and English;
Previous experience in Dubai in a similar role
