The PRO supports the organization's operational needs by managing documentation, government relations, and regulatory affairs.
Key Responsibilities
Government Liaison & Representation
Act as the main point of contact between the company and government departments, ministries, free zones, and regulatory bodies.
Build and maintain professional relationships with government officials to facilitate smooth operations.
Visa & Immigration Processes
Manage all employment visa procedures including new visas, renewals, amendments, and cancellations.
Handle Emirates ID processing, medical fitness tests, residence stamping, labor cards, and related documentation.
Ensure timely processing and compliance with UAE immigration rules.
Licenses & Permits
Oversee trade license renewals, establishment card renewals, tenancy contracts, and any other company legal documentation.
Submit required documents to relevant authorities and follow up on approvals.
Documentation & Record Keeping
Prepare, organize, and submit government-related documents and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Maintain up-to-date electronic and physical files for all PRO activities.
Compliance & Reporting
Stay informed of updates to UAE labor law, immigration policies, and government procedures.
Provide regular reports to management on the status of visas, renewals, licenses, and deadlines.
Coordination with Internal Teams
Work closely with HR and administrative departments to align PRO processes with company requirements.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes from a regulatory perspective.
Problem Resolution
Resolve issues with government authorities promptly to avoid delays or fines.
Provide advice and support to employees regarding PRO-related procedures and documentation.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Law, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a PRO or in government relations within the UAE.
Strong understanding of UAE labor law, immigration rules, and government procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
High level of organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Professional conduct when dealing with authorities and handling confidential information.
Valid UAE driving license (often preferred or required).
