Public Government Affairs Manager North Africa

Position key responsibilities and tasks:

Government Relations

Build and maintain relationships with government officials, legislators, and regulatory agencies.

Policy Advocacy

Research, analyze, and monitor legislative and regulatory issues affecting the organization. Develop and advocate for policy positions.

Legislative Tracking

Monitor and track relevant legislation and regulatory changes, providing timely updates to internal stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with industry associations, coalitions, and advocacy groups to advance common goals.

Public Affairs Campaigns

Develop and execute public affairs campaigns to raise awareness and garner supportfor key issues.

Strategic Planning

Create comprehensive government affairs strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Compliance: // Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and
regulations governing lobbying and government relations.

Communication

Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Issue Management

Respond to emerging issues and crises that may impact the organization's reputation or operations.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field (master's preferred). 8 - 10 years proven experience in government affairs, public policy, or a related role within a multi-national organisation Strong understanding of the political and legislative process. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Analytical and research abilities to assess policy implications. Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements. Experience in managing advocacy campaigns is a plus.
