Psychiatrist
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
Diagnose mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and substance use disorders.
Prescribe medications and monitor their effects, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Provide psychotherapy, counseling, and crisis intervention when appropriate.
Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, primary care physicians, and other health professionals to ensure integrated care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with medical and legal standards.
Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.
Participate in case reviews, departmental meetings, and continuous medical education.
