This position is at 3 hospital doing Psychiatry with many speciality focus. An academic opportunity is available where you would supervise residents but no writing/publishing is required. They welcome board certified and board eligible Psychiatrists.

As a Psychiatrist, you will focus on diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders in patients of all ages. You will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and provide therapy to help patients improve their mental well-being. Your expertise, compassion, and commitment to patient care will be essential in making a positive difference in the lives of individuals struggling with mental health challenges.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations to assess patients' mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects Provide therapy, counseling, and support to patients, either individually or in group settings Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychologists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate patient care Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of psychiatry and participate in continuing education activities Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for patients Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and treatment options Adhere to ethical and professional standards in patient care Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient information Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Psychiatrist Completion of a residency program in psychiatry Proven experience in diagnosing and treating various mental health disorders Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications and their effects Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare team members Empathy, compassion, and patience to provide support to patients with mental health challenges Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in diagnosing and developing treatment plans Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on advancements in psychiatry
