Job Summary
The Prosthodontist is a dental specialist responsible for diagnosing, planning, and performing restorative and replacement procedures for patients with missing or deficient teeth and oral structures. This includes designing and fitting dental prostheses such as crowns, bridges, dentures, veneers, and dental implants to restore function, comfort, and aesthetics.
Key Responsibilities
Examine patients to assess dental and oral conditions related to tooth loss, deformities, or damage. Develop customized treatment plans for prosthetic rehabilitation. Design, fabricate, and fit dental prostheses, including: Complete and partial dentures Crowns and bridges Veneers and onlays/inlays Implant-supported restorations Collaborate with dental technicians and other specialists (oral surgeons, periodontists, orthodontists) to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Perform procedures using advanced dental technology such as CAD/CAM systems and digital impressions. Educate patients about treatment options, prosthesis care, and oral hygiene. Maintain accurate patient records and comply with dental practice regulations and safety standards. Stay updated on the latest developments in prosthodontics through continuing education and training.
