Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented P&O Technician to join our fabrication team. You will be responsible for transforming clinical prescriptions into high-performance medical devices. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in workshop machinery, material lamination, and the assembly of complex prosthetic and orthotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Fabrication:
Manufacture a wide range of devices including transtibial/transfemoral prostheses, AFOs, KAFOs, and spinal braces.Material Management:
Expertise in working with carbon fiber, fiberglass, resins, thermo-plastics, and leather.Technical Precision:
Perform negative and positive cast rectification and ensure alignment meets the clinician's specifications.Maintenance & Repair:
Conduct overhauls and repairs on existing devices (replacing straps, rivets, and padding).Workshop Safety:
Operate and maintain workshop machinery (grinders, vacuum pumps, ovens) in compliance with DOH safety standards.Collaboration:
Work closely with the clinical Prosthetist to troubleshoot fit issues and optimize device functionality.Mandatory Requirements
Licensure:
Must hold a validDOH (Department of Health)
