Proprietary Trader - Macro Rates
AP Capital is a diversified investment firm Globally trading equities, commodities, FX, fixed income (Bonds, Credit & Rates). We adopt market neutral strategies to minimize the impact of market turbulence and maximize investment potential. Furthermore, we aim to provide risk-adjusted returns while improving liquidity.
We are looking for a Fixed Income / Rates focused Proprietary Trader specifically focused on MENA (Saudi Arabia, Turkey, UAE etc.) and GCC (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar etc.). This will join the newest division that was launched in 2023.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing trading strategies, managing risk and generating profits within rates and other products, asset classes.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proprietary trading strategies focused on rates products, including interest rates futures, interest rates swaps, CDS, CDX etc.
• Conduct thorough market analysis and research to identify trading opportunities for global macro strategies.
• Execute trades efficiently and effectively, ensuring compliance with risk management protocols.
• Monitor and manage portfolio risk, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize performance.
• Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and risk management teams to share insights and enhance trading strategies.
• Stay updated on market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes impacting the interest rates market.
• Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market conditions, and strategy adjustments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a proprietary trader with a focus on credit and rates products.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Excellent risk management and decision-making abilities with satisfied track records.
• Proficiency in trading platforms and financial software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
