Role: Proposals Engineer [Mechanical /Instrument Package Engineer] Job Type: Permanent Salary: PKR 40,000 per month Location: Remote (currently working from home) with travel to customer locations worldwide Maplin Engineering provides state-of-the-art design, building planning, multidisciplinary engineering, consulting, project management, and construction management services to range of customers in building services, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure and commercial sectors. There is a vacancy for a Sales Proposals Engineer to join a thriving and dynamic team. The candidate will report to the VP Operations / Major Projects. He/She will build contact between a company and its existing and potential new Customers in oil, gas, and renewable industry by focusing on the planning, and aim of winning new work with proven sales techniques. Note: Please do not apply if you don't have any experience as proposal engineer in O&G field. Task and Responsibilities:
The candidate shall be responsible for, but limited to, the following:

• Good understanding of mechanical package equipment, review scope of work and prepare MTOs for pricing,

• Accountable for the technical-sales support activities towards Management Team, and Business Units in compliance with their requirements and inputs.

• Understanding margin, cost calculation and pricing strategies, the Sales Proposals Engineer is responsible for offers creation by advanced tool.

• Liaise with the other team members and managers to prepare project proposals that meet the objectives of the project budget and timeline.

• Preparing and reviewing technical and commercial queries and answering customers' enquiries.

• Liaise between client and company management for terms and conditions agreement.

• Excellent contract writing skills

• Develop and maintain long term relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers and representatives through proactive engagement at all levels.

• Ensure smooth tendering process and analyzing critical items for successful bid.

• Liaise with the engineering team to make the proposal and estimates as required.

• Report to management on the status of the proposals and workload planning.

• Obtain feedback from projects to incorporate future proposals.

Role Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in oil, gas or petrochemical industry.

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• A Commercial Certifications or MBA is advantageous.

• Knowledge of the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and schedules is essential.

• Excellent time management and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office Software.

• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

• Knowledge of the sales force is advantageous.

• Good business sense and excellent communication skills.

• Understanding of Arabic Language is preferable
