Your responsibilities

• Supports the local Sales organization/customers in determining the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions and in the preparation of demanding offers as per bid and proposal process. Provides technical support during the technical meeting, product presentations and negotiations and offers product/ solution/service related training.
• Ensures the preparation of technical and financial aspects of the ‎offer, indicating prices and trading conditions (Technical, commercial ‎& legal aspects are addressed).
• Prepares/supports preparation of technical/commercial offers based on customer specification requirements, Local Business Unit/feeder factory indications and Sales organization directives. Participates in the kick off meeting organized by the project team.
• Defines cost for the proposed solution and communicates to Sales organization.
• Well understanding of risk management and provides information to the risk review process in accordance with ABB policy and sometimes participates in the risk review assessment.
• Analyzes customer needs and competitor offers through general market information and information provided by the Sales organization
• Performs lost proposal analysis, identifies potential cause, and recommends future actions in cooperation with Sales/Local Business Unit to obtain better future results.

Your background

• Ideally you'll hold a Bachelor's in Electronics /Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years engineering experience in industrial automation with proposal and cost estimation experience a plus
• Computer skills with Good experience using Micro-Soft Word, Excel, Power Point Visio and MS-Project
• Good knowledge of Power system solutions (MV and LV SWGR, MCCs, Power system Study, Transformers, Capacitor
• Banks and harmonic filters, Protection relays, VSD/VFD...) and power system automation (SCADA and PLCs).
• With prior experience of ABB power products is advantage
• Experience with Key customer in Saudi Arabia like Aramco, SABIC, SWCC, SEC,...
• Good knowledge about Industrial Networking, Communication protocols and standards
• Can provide a technical solution from ABB products and comply with customer requirements
• Can develop cost element sheet and analysis related risks
• Awareness of legal contract terms and conditions.
• Technical writing ability
• Strong ability to communicate verbally and written
• Understanding of basic accounting practices/cost Development
• Fluent in English with Arabic a plus
