- Review RFQ/ Enquiry documents, prepare enquiry evaluation form and submit for management bid/ no bid decision.
- Study/ review of the specifications and techno-commercial documents to recommend the bidding strategy.
- Preparation of accurate BOM working with the team.
- Enquiries to principals and suppliers for components/ subsystems
- Accurate estimation and costing for offers to be submitted.
- Bidding/ pricing strategy in discussion with Sales/ Superior.
- Preparation of techno-commercial content of proposals.
- Submission of offers in compliance with enquiry requirements.
- Immediate follow up working with sales on content and acceptance of the proposals.
- Deliberation with customer and other stake holders and do necessary revisions as required.
- Participation in meetings with project stake holders.
- Value engineering for optimization, discussion with suppliers/ principals etc for cost optimization.
- Revisions of proposals to suit customer requirements.
- Work with sales team to convert to orders.
- Responsible for upkeep of registers for enquiries, orders and to maintain statistical data base for management reviews.
Requirements
- Engineering degree from a recognised university in mechanical or electrical discipline.
- 10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in estimation and proposals of firefighting systems for industrial projects, in the region.
- Technical knowledge of Fire protection systems, codes and statutory regulations.
- Planning and organizing.
- To be well versed on standard commercial and contractual terms and conditions.
- Budgeting
- Problem solving and decision making.
