We are currently seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Project/Package Manager – Security Packages – Honeywell Building Technologies to be based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of their assigned project. This requires preparing, planning, executing and controlling all aspects of the project either directly or through delegation with the project team. Successful delivery requires monitoring and controlling financials, works schedule, resources (including subcontractors) as well as managing the project stakeholders (internal and external). What Will You Be Doing Every Single Day?
  • Ensure a safe working environment on site for all employees, subcontractors, suppliers, Clients and visitors. Lead the achievement of company and Global Major Project safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • Own the project schedule and ensure timely delivery in terms of cost, specifications, and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical guidance to the site, and resolve critical site issues.
  • Implement the company and Global Major Projects QA/QC procedures and ensure works meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Assess progress, productivity, commercial performance and implement action for improvement pre-emptively.
  • Work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate work schedules, daily and weekly metrics and reporting data.
  • Work with construction manager and site supervisors to ensure smooth sequential working and coordination with interfacing/adjacent contractors.
  • Pro-actively manage the Design function of assigned works package be it internal Honeywell or external agencies.
  • Ensure the keeping of accurate and up-to-date daily records of site progress and key issues through site diaries.
  • Provide input on all GMP-related VO’s and contractual claims ensuring that the construction-related substantiation in notifications and follow-up is clearly defined, accurate and demonstrable.
  • Ensure the physical completion of works packages in all respects to facilitate handover and acceptance.
  • Follow up and track all Retention and Defects Liability Period punch-lists/snags to ensure close out of work packages and release of retention monies.
  • Deploy standard methodologies in the delivery and control of projects. Ensure use of Honeywell project processes and tools
  • Developing trust and managing the relationship with customers and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues between all parties is maintained, maintain customer relationships at the appropriate senior level
  • Define all subcontract /supply requirements and work with Supply Chain to ensure all subcontractor/supplier contracts and orders are appropriate for the project from a scope/cost and risk viewpoint. Lead or participate in negotiations as necessary
  • Deliver to the financial objectives for the project and control billing and costs for the project. Drive project team to maintain Estimated Actual Cost at Completion.
  • Manage the contractual requirements of the project to ensure Honeywell’s risk exposure is minimised and controlled through timely responses and internal escalation.
  • Ensure the design solution is fit for purpose in meeting the project requirements with the lowest cost of delivery.
  • Maintain the financial position of the project using Honeywell’s accounting systems.
  • Devising and implementing risk management programs and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies are implemented and communicating these to management on a regular basis
  • Lead the design and development of the Security packages including Infrastructure, Networking, Integration, and Software Development by interpreting scope requirements and implementing technical solutions.
  • Drive the project team to minimise the cost of labour in delivering a successful project through the use of low cost resources while minimising defects and rework.
  • Coordination and control of the change management process both technical and commercial
What Skills and Experience Will You Have?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Information Technology / ELV Systems (Preferred)
  • Further education in management or project management would also be advantageous
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management are preferred
  • Proven experience in project management including budget ownership/management, resource allocation, scheduling, forecasting, and planning preferably on projects in excess of $40M
  • Demonstrated experience in safety and safety management on large commercial and infrastructure projects
  • Demonstrated project experience involving the integration of multiple technologies preferably in technology systems for applications such as correctional facilities, building management technology, information technology or network solutions
  • Understanding of business, technology and external environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to work cooperatively and provide technical direction in a team environment
