Key Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities
Monitor project costs and control expenditure throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare tender documents and assist in contractor selection
Evaluate and negotiate contracts and variations
Measure and value construction work completed on site
Prepare interim valuations and final accounts
Manage claims, variations, and change orders
Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
Provide regular cost reports and financial forecasts to management
Work closely with site teams to ensure cost-effective project delivery
Skills and Competencies
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Good understanding of construction methods and materials
Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Proficiency in cost management software and MS Excel
Quantity Surveyor Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
Landscape/Construction estimating or finance experienced is advantageous.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Sound knowledge of construction.
Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
Great networking abilities.
