To plan, execute, monitor, and deliver infrastructure projects (roads, utilities, buildings, or civil works) within scope, budget, and schedule while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, cost estimates, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure smooth project flow.
Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for compliance.
2. Budget and Cost Control:
Prepare project budgets and monitor expenditure.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage variations.
Approve contractor invoices and track financial progress.
3. Team Management:
Lead a multidisciplinary project team of engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion.
Conduct regular progress meetings and resolve on-site issues.
4. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure all construction works meet quality and safety standards.
Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for inspections and approvals.
Implement and monitor QA/QC and HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the main point of contact between client, consultants, and contractors.
Provide regular project updates and reports to management and clients.
Manage communication and handle change requests professionally.
6. Risk and Issue Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Address and resolve delays, conflicts, and technical challenges efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum
8-12 years
of experience in infrastructure or civil construction projects.
Proven experience managing large-scale projects (roads, utilities, drainage, or site development).
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (Primavera / MS Project).
