Job Purpose: The Project Manager/Engineer is responsible for project design oversight and certifications that include various construction industries like Infrastructure Pipeline Works (Potable Water piping, waste water , irrigation Force Line & Automatic irrigation excavation, pipe laying, pressure testing and disinfection), Chilled Water Piping & Pipeline, DCP Plant and ETS Room Piping works etc. engineering design plan preparation, calculations, cost estimating, report preparation/studies, regulatory permitting, field inspections/site visits, attending client meetings, and other related engineering tasks Independently develops and/or supervises the creation of Mechanical engineering designs for Mechanical systems and pressurized networks for large and mega infrastructure projects that meet customer quality requirements and international as well as Local Authority regulations and standards. This includes defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status. Shall be responsible for liaising with Authorities such as DM, DEWA -WD, SEWA, ADM, ADSSC, SMDD, DCD, for obtaining Detailed Design Approvals, Network Approvals, Consumption utilities demands, Building permit approvals, DCD approvals, NOCs and all related designs preparations. Responsibilities

• Performs difficult and complex field engineering assignments involving the development, execution, supervision, and coordination of all technical aspects of a construction project.
• Maintains first level quality assurance to confirm that the installation of all work within his /her discipline is in accordance with the plans, specifications, and industry standards.
• Well versed in both pressurized and non-pressurized network design. Undertake design and modelling works for potable water supply, firefighting, wastewater and irrigation Domestic Water Systems, Fire Protection Systems, Irrigation Systems, sewage pressure lines, Treated Sewage Effluent systems infrastructure projects.
• Prepare calculations and simulations for large and complex pressurized and wet services systems.
• Check calculations prepared by other engineers and sub-consultants where applicable.
• May supervise the construction engineering work and provide technical expertise for one or more of the construction engineering disciplines.
• Ensures that tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures.
• Checking weld joint preparation, fit up, alignment & dimensions as per the drawings. Ensure that the work complies with the project scope.
• Preparing of shop drawing for chilled water network, ETS room Piping arrangement, DCP plant expansion and other infrastructure work. Preparing P & ID for ETS room piping and DCP plant piping arrangement. Preparing the clash analysis with other existing utility drawing and make a report. Preparing Road diversion plan for NDRC work.
• Collaborates with construction management to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees.
• Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site specific safety procedures and industry standards.
• Establishes and maintains liaison with the discipline design engineering staff.
• Reviews and interprets discipline design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and correct technical execution of the work.
• Provides resolution for technical engineering problems within the assigned discipline(s); coordinates application of solutions.
• Develops discipline construction schedules and monitor's progress.
• Monitors material procurement and deliveries to ensure timeliness in support of construction activities and schedule within the assigned discipline.
• Ensures that materials received meet specifications and established standards of quality.
• Organizes the accumulation of assigned discipline data for the final project turnover and report.
• Initiates and maintains records, back-charge procedures, progress reports, etc., as required.
• May have some interface with the client and upper-level management.
• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
• Identify difficulties and problems, devise acceptable solutions, and seek assistance as necessary.
• Participate in relevant meetings, adhere to the applicable inspection procedures and prepare progress reports.
• Work cross-functionally with different teams and organizations

Skills Qualifications

• Required Qualification: 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Required Experience:
• 10+ years of proficient experience in mechanical engineering on utilities projects involving design and construction of infrastructure mechanical systems (water/ wastewater pump station, wastewater treatment plants, piping systems for water distribution, wastewater collection, drainage, gas, district cooling, etc..) with knowledge of codes, design manuals and construction practices.
• At least 5 years' experience working in the UAE
• Experience in the factory acceptance and other testing and commissioning activities of these systems.
• Good written and oral communication.
• Proven ability to perform key technical role.
• Experience in testing and commissioning of these systems.
• Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
• Knowledge of current technology and its effective use on the project

Job Type: Full-time Salary: From AED10,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate:
