Project Manager Construction Site Supervision Role

Job Description
Ken International is looking for a Project Manager with an interest in complex projects from start to finish with a Site Supervision role in the project. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of working experience in the same field, preferably a Senior Architect level along with a Project Management background and certified PMP will be an added excellent skill. DESIGNATION: PROJECT MANAGER FOR SITE SUPERVISION LOCATION: ABU DHABI/DUBAI, UAE DUTIES ANS RESPONBILITIES:
- Responsible for the management and lead in planning, organizing, controlling the project with an efficient workplace including materials and personnel.
- Lead and manage in resolving design and technical coordination issues with Finishes, Structure, Electro-mechanical, landscape, etc. on the project.
- Lead and chair progress and coordination meetings and specially called meetings with Clients etc.) as and when required.
- Lead and manage in resolving any issues raised by Contractors (e.g., requirements for time extensions, change order requests, variations etc.) and make recommendations as appropriate.
- Ensure the maintaining of onsite quality control (e.g., thorough testing of materials and verifying of materials, adequate storage of materials, contractor\xe2\x80\x99s submittal of written undertakings, warranty, and protection of installed systems etc.)
- Ensure that related procured construction materials delivered to the site, to ensure compliance against ministerial requirements and specifications/contract documents/approvals. Inspected that all materials delivered on site are being adequately stored and protected as per manufacturer\xe2\x80\x99s recommendations to avoid damage of materials.
- Synergize with the project commissioning team to ensure that all projects are meticulously commissioned to deliver world class standards of quality.
- Manage Client relationship/requirements throughout all stages of the project and to ensure client satisfaction with design work has been complied and construction work progress is on track as per the schedule.
- Review and comment on all shop drawings, inspections, materials, RFI and ensure the incorporation of all revisions on all documents.
- Maintain awareness of industry trends, methodologies, tools, templates, and best practices in project management in relation to technical engineering.
- Review and report to client all weekly and monthly reports submitted by Contractor including areas of concern, narrative summary, and recommended plans of actions.
- Ensure regular inspections and implementing site safety practices to avoid any hazards and accidents
- Lead the snagging procedure after substantial completion of construction activities have ended; ensure that a snag list is prepared based on defective/outstanding works for the contractor to rectify, repair and complete for re-inspection prior to handing over.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized and with an ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- With strong leadership qualities and ability to identify potential problems and propose solutions.
- Highly motivated with the ability to work independently within a collaborative team
- Proactive and detail oriented
- Proficient and with expertise in related project software\xe2\x80\x99s if applicable
- Must have extensive technical management experience and should have been involved in the construction of projects with the ability to oversee and supervise team professionals during the construction stage.
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Architecture, or a related field.
- At least 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in an Architectural and Project Management Firm
- Proven track record for managerial and technical performance in a related field
- At least 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Supervision and Technical Role
- As per Company norms depending on candidate\xe2\x80\x99s experience and qualifications
- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
