Key Job Responsibilities
  • Review and study project execution report [PER] prepared by contracts department in conjunction with project specifications issued by client and agreed scope of work. Identify anomalies if any and bring the same to notice to OM / Contract department.
  • Prepare project completion schedule and submit to client for approval.
  • Prepare drawing, material and document submission schedule and submit the same to client for their review. Track scheduled activities on weekly basis and take necessary corrective action in case of deviations.
  • Prepare material submittals in co-ordination with contracts & purchase department and as per project specification submit the same to client for approval.
  • Follow with in-house departments like Engineering, Purchase & Workshop to check if the activities under their preview are being carried out as per project schedule.
  • Report to higher management in case of any deviation for necessary corrective action.
  • Prepare and submit various claims of works including acceleration costs.
  • Take timely action to avoid counter claims.
  • Prepare erection method statement and submit the same for approval of client.
  • Carry out site activities as per erection method statement within budgeted man hours.
  • Identify variations instructed through various works such as verbal instructions, written instructions, and comments on drawing during approval or issuance of new drawing.
  • Evaluate cost of variation and communicate to client cost and time impact of variations.
  • Prepare and submit to client all necessary backup documents to enable obtainance of approval of client.
  • Evaluate progress achieved during the month and advise Quantity Surveyor to prepare monthly progress invoice along with claim for variation.
  • Obtain monthly payment certificate from client.
  • Assist management during negotiations to finalize contract value inclusive of variations.
  • Prepare quality records as per project quality plan, submit to client for their records.
  • Co-ordinate with Engineering department for submission as \'As Built\' drawings.
  • Submit requirement to client as part of contract close up documentation.
  • Project Manager is responsible for implementation of rules of HSE guide lines in line with main contractors HSE plan and GEW\'s HSE plan.
Education Qualification
  • 4 years Bachelor\'s degree or engineering degree in mechanical engineering/civil engineering
Work Experience
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in steel erection and fabrication business
  • Should have experience in constructability reviews, cost estimates, project schedules, execution strategies and plans. Exposures to various fabrication technologies.
Skills
  • Excellent communication and negation skills
  • Candidate shall possess good inter personal and communication skills
  • Candidate shall be familiar with current fabrication market trends, latest equipment and clients and competitor data.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise at all levels
  • Proactive, Goal-oriented, and accountable
