Prepare project execution plans (PEP) and detailed work schedules.
Coordinate with design, procurement, and production departments for seamless workflow.
Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with company and client objectives.
Conduct kick-off meetings and establish communication protocols.
2. Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact between the client and the internal team.
Attend client meetings and site inspections to ensure project requirements are met.
Handle client queries, variations, and change orders with proper documentation and approvals.
3. Technical Oversight
Review and approve GA drawings, erection drawings, and shop drawings.
Ensure structural design complies with applicable codes and standards (AISC, MBMA, ASTM, etc.).
Supervise resolution of site discrepancies or technical clarifications (TQ/RFI).
4. Procurement & Resource Allocation
Monitor procurement of materials including steel sections, fasteners, roofing & cladding systems, etc.
Approve material submittals and ensure timely delivery to site or factory.
Allocate manpower and machinery based on project requirements.
5. Factory & Site Execution Management
Oversee fabrication activities in the PEB/steel workshop to ensure quality and timeline compliance.
Monitor erection and installation at the project site, including civil interface, anchor bolts, and structural assembly.
Supervise subcontractors and site teams to maintain progress and safety standards.
6. Quality Assurance & Control
Implement QA/QC procedures across fabrication and erection activities.
Ensure welding (SMAW, SAW), bolting, painting, and galvanizing follow project specs and standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC engineers to resolve NCRs and ensure final acceptance.
7. HSE Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety & Environmental regulations on-site and in the factory.
Conduct safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments with HSE officers.
Mitigate risks related to lifting operations, working at heights, and hot works.
8. Cost Control & Budgeting
Monitor project costs against budgets and raise alerts for deviations.
Approve subcontractor bills and internal progress claims based on work completed.
Optimize resource utilization to reduce wastage and control overheads.
9. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of all project communications, approvals, drawings, inspection reports, and variations.
Submit regular progress reports, delay analysis, and recovery plans to management and clients.
Ensure proper project closure with handover documentation and snag list clearance.
10. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and motivate cross-functional teams including engineers, supervisors, and foremen.
Conduct performance reviews and training programs to enhance team capabilities.
Promote a collaborative and result-driven culture within the team.
Manage end-to-end execution of multiple ongoing projects, ensuring each stays within scope, time, and budget.
Strategically prioritize projects based on deadlines, client requirements, and complexity.
Allocate manpower, equipment, and materials across projects to optimize performance.
Guide and monitor project engineers assigned to each project for daily tasks, technical queries, and progress tracking.
Approve their work programs, material submittals, RFIs, and inspection requests.
Collect and review progress updates from all project engineers.
Prepare consolidated weekly and monthly reports for senior management.
Ensure all project engineers follow standard execution protocols, QA/QC systems, and documentation formats.
Provide technical guidance to resolve on-site issues, drawing discrepancies, or design clarifications.
Evaluate performance of project engineers and recommend training or reassignment where necessary.
Attend client meetings for high-priority or escalated projects.
Ensure project engineers maintain proper communication with clients and consultants.
Identify risks common across projects (material shortage, manpower, delays) and implement group solutions.
Act as the bridge between engineering, procurement, factory, and finance departments for all ongoing projects.
Resolve conflicts between teams, departments, or project sites to maintain smooth workflow.
Ensure that HSE and QA/QC compliance is consistently maintained across all active project sites.
Identify inefficiencies across projects and implement improvement strategies for cost, time, or quality enhancement
