THE CHALLENGE

Pure Storage growth has been supported by its Professional Services organisation, which seeks to provide customers with the technical skills and knowledge required to deploy future-proof solutions that are focussed on integration, automation and simplicity. At Pure Professional Services we are now looking to expand our growing delivery team in the UAE and Middle East, and are looking for motivated people who are not just interested in delivering excellence for our customers, but are also excited by the opportunity to define, grow and mature the organisation they operate within. For the right candidate this opportunity presents significant potential future career growth, as our plans for Professional Services growth in this region are significant.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be the most senior Project Management resource in this region and will oversee project delivery for multiple projects and programs in your own portfolio to ensure they are delivered on time, within budget and with a high customer satisfaction. You will work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Business Development Managers, Services and Engineering to help sell, scope, and deliver Professional Services solutions for Enterprise customers. You will use your experience to help drive process improvements, define methodologies and act as a change agent to build a culture of continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities:

• Drives the development and execution of project plans by working with project teams to define, sequence, and estimate duration of activities and determine schedules to meet project objectives.
• Manages all aspects of the project execution including: chartering, scope definition, requirements gathering, project planning, change control, risk management and reporting.
• Maintains project reporting materials and project status documentation
• Establishes work timelines and effectively manages them
• Acts as the primary point of escalation at the project level, identifies root causes of problems and implements resolution plans.
• Accomplishes Pure's mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management
• Evaluate, measure, and report on strategic effectiveness and ROI for overall project and program efforts.
• Ensure that communicated and planned milestones and metrics (savings, cost, timing, etc.) are achieved, successfully managed and executed on schedule and on budget.
• Act as a liaison across geographies and with technical and non-technical audiences to communicate and ensure alignment to project objectives. Surface key issues and changes which may impact expected business results.
• Effectively manage risk, partnering with colleagues to ensure the right decisions are made at the right time, appropriate communication occurs, and plans are intelligently adjusted to reflect necessary fluctuations in goals and requirements.
• Applies change, risk and resource management.
• Ability to present information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.

What you will need to bring to the role:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• PRINCE2 or PMP certification. ITIL, AGILE & other certifications would be advantageous
• 8+ years' experience in project management in an external Customer-facing environment
• Excellent business writing and communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Excellent organisational, analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent problem solver; Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
• Must be enthusiastic, proactive, action oriented, capable of independently solving complex workflow problems, and able to communicate clearly and effectively to internal and external stakeholders
