Job Title: Project Manager for Construction / Resident Engineer

A Project Manager for Construction is responsible for planning, executing, and closing construction projects. They ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients, while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning:

• Develop a comprehensive project plan, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to define project goals and specifications.
• Resource Management:

• Procure and manage labor, equipment, and materials required for the project.

• Maintain good relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Budget Management:

• Monitor project expenses, track costs, and implement cost-saving measures.

• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
• Schedule Management:

• Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring that work progresses as planned.

• Adjust schedules and resources as needed to address delays or changes.
• Risk Management:

• Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards on the construction site.
• Quality Control:

• Implement quality control measures to ensure work meets industry and client standards.

• Conduct regular inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
• Communication and Reporting:

• Maintain open and regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.

• Provide progress reports, including updates on milestones and potential issues.
• Contract Management:

• Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.

• Ensure that all parties involved in the project adhere to contract terms.
• Change Management:

• Manage change orders, addressing modifications to project scope and requirements.

• Evaluate the impact of changes on the project schedule and budget.
• Team Leadership:

• Supervise and lead project teams, including site supervisors, engineers, and contractors.

• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Candidate must be a DM approved engineer (G+12/unlimited) with a valid driving license.
• Relevant certifications or licenses, such as a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or construction-specific certifications.
• Proven experience in project management within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
