We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager - Electrical to lead and oversee complex electrical engineering projects within the marine offshore oil & gas sector. This role is critical in managing the full lifecycle of electrical systems across drilling rigs, offshore installations, and shipyard refurbishment projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in offshore oil & gas environments, including rig upgrades, platform installations, and marine vessel retrofits. You will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing client expectations, and delivering projects on time and within budget.
This is a permanent position and will be based in Dubai, UAE.
Duties & responsibilities:
Project Management

• Develop and define electrical scopes in conjunction with clients' representatives.
• Participate in project kick-off meetings with other departments (mechanical project team, engineering team, other 3C Metal entities) to determine project requirements.
• Participate to project evaluation and quotes to be approved by Electrical Manager/ Operations Manager.
• Prepare and give instructions to the team leader/supervisor to prepare the installation on site.
• Monitor projects progress to ensure it runs according to schedule and budget and report findings weekly to the Electrical Manager.

Electrical Engineering

• Develop project electrical design philosophy based on client requirements.
• Carry out electrical detailed design, sizing, calculations, ATEX/IEC Ex and verify design done by others in the electrical project team.
• Review single-line drawings to meet project specifications and guide the electrical designers with requirements.
• Assist electrical design team in preparing detailed BOMs and procurement of electrical equipment and components and ensure prompt delivery (as required).
• Assist electrical project engineers to understand technical requirements and execute their projects - review quotes, personnel requirements etc.
• Understand Offshore installation standards and ensure implementation during installation.

Qualifications:

• Must have engineering degree and a minimum of 6 years' experience working in Marine Offshore industry, especially with drilling rigs and Offshore Oil & Gas installations. Similar experience in Shipyard refurbishment projects will be considered.
• Leadership/Management background is essential in a similar role.
• Engineering Diploma or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Good experience and understanding of ATEX, IEC Offshore Installation Standards and Oil & Gas electrical installation requirements.
• Good knowledge of Classification Society Rules (ABS / DNV) electrical requirements.
• Project Management qualification preferred, such as PMP, Prince2 etc.
