Job Description
A well known engineering and manufacturing company is looking for a Project Manager to be responsible for Signalling, Telecoms and Scada. This Signalling, Telecoms and Scada Project Manager will be based in Egypt working on prestigious Metro and Monorail projects.

Responsibilities
- Responsible to deliver the Signaling, Telecommunications and Scada work packages
- Ensure compliance with company wide Ethics and Compliance policies and protocols at all times
- Drive the implementation of the Project specific EHS Management Plan
- Accountable to deliver the Financial Performance for this work package in terms of Cash collection, Sales Delivery and Budgetary performance.
- Lead a team of sub-system Project Managers to secure on-time delivery to cost and quality
- Oversee the management of four major sub-contractors, three working on a Turnkey basis.
- Implement robust Risk and Opportunity management to identify, manage and mitigate risks and to secure opportunities.
- Develop the Client strategy and lead the daily Client interface for the related sub-systems.
- Manage the interface with the Consortium Leadership team and the Consortium Partner for these sub-systems
- Provide inputs to required internal and external reports & Audits as required and deliver the material during the various reviews.
- Work closely with the Project Engineering Director and his leadership team to ensure the technical obligations are delivered in accordance with the Contract, to secure 3rd party certification and to ensure technical performance of the System.
- Work closely with the Site Installation Manager to ensure all site works are completed on time, on quality and in accordance with our EHS standards.
- Work closely with the Testing & Commissioning Director to develop, secure and execute a robust T&C program for the relevant sub-systems.
- Develop the Commercial Strategy with the Commercial Director to maximise the benefit and protect this engineering and manufacturing company.
- Work with Procurement to effectively manage the sub-contractor contracts to maximise the benefit and protect our interests at all times.
- Work with the Project Controls Director to ensure best practice Performance Management, PMO and Project Management Tools are deployed on these sub-systems at all times.
Job Requirement
- 10 years of working on complex rail infrastructure projects with 5 years in a Project Management Capacity
- Experience of managing a Client relationship / Client Representative
- Exceptional project management and leadership skills with high ability of managing multiple stakeholders
- Strong Organisational skills. Logical / Lateral thinker with complex problem solving ability.
- Presentable to Executive Leadership of the Consortium members and able to report succinctly on complex matters
- High knowledge of FIDIC Contract Management principles, Project Scheduling, Claim Management.
- High knowledge of Design Interface Management principles (Systems Assurance, System Integration)
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Has budgetary skills and able to forecast the project budget and define risks and opportunities
- Strong commercial awareness and knowledge of several disciplines within a sub-function and how their processes and resources interact with other disciplines within the sub-function
- Demonstrates strong communication and diplomacy skills and the ability to guide, influence and convince others. Strong Negotiation Skills
- Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Self-Starter who has the confidence and ability to develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision
- Competent in conflict and crisis management
- Fluent in English language
- Arabic language is a strong plus
