The Project Manager - Civil is responsible for leading civil construction projects from initiation to closeout. The role ensures delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements. The position bridges design, procurement, site execution, and client interface to achieve seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Accountabilities
Project Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation for civil works.
Ensure adherence to scope, specifications, codes, and standards.
Drive project delivery in line with agreed milestones and budgets.
Contract & Commercial Management
Coordinate with the Commercial team for budget tracking, variations, claims, and contractual compliance.
Monitor project cash flow, cost performance index, and risk mitigation measures.
Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and authorities on civil works.
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and third-party stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals.
Site Management & Safety
Oversee site operations, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and risk control.
Ensure quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) across all civil works.
Resolve technical/site challenges proactively.
Team Leadership & Reporting
Lead, mentor, and manage site teams for effective delivery.
Conduct progress reviews, prepare DPRs/WPRs, and escalate delays or risks to leadership.
Drive cross-functional collaboration (procurement, technical, planning).
Decision-Making Authority
Approve site-level material requisitions within budget limits.
Assign daily tasks and responsibilities to site engineers and foremen.
Recommend subcontractor payments based on work progress.
Escalate contractual, financial, or major scope deviations to Sr. PM/Project Director.
