Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager with a civil engineering background to oversee end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of construction and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of construction practices, project scheduling, budgeting, contractor management, and safety standards. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams, ensuring timely completion of work, and maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and execution of civil engineering projects (residential, commercial, infrastructure, etc.)
Develop project scopes, timelines, resource allocation plans, and budgets in coordination with stakeholders.
Supervise and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, vendors, and on-site engineering teams.
Monitor project progress against timelines and budgets; proactively address delays or deviations.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations and quality control standards.
Review technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications; manage RFI submissions and change orders.
Conduct regular site inspections and project review meetings; document progress reports.
Manage stakeholder communications and provide timely updates to senior management.
Lead project close-out activities including handover, punch lists, and documentation.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (essential); PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management with a civil engineering core.
Proven track record of managing mid to large-scale projects from design through delivery.
Strong knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, etc.)
Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and site teams effectively.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with government and private sector projects.
Hands-on exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, or other design tools.
Understanding of sustainability and green building standards (LEED, Estidama, etc.)
Fluency in [local language] and English.
