Project Manager
Job Title: Project Manager
Department: Project Management
Reports To: Senior Project Manager / Director of Operations
Summary:
The Project Manager is the single point of accountability for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, control, and successful closure of a project. This role is responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget, and to the specified quality and scope, while managing client relationships, mitigating risks, and leading the project team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning & Strategy: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and coordinate the project team (engineers, QS, procurement, subcontractors). Conduct regular team meetings and ensure clear communication.
  • Client Management: Act as the primary client contact. Manage expectations, provide regular progress reports, and negotiate changes/variations.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Own the project budget. Monitor costs, forecast final outturn costs, and approve expenditures. Work with the QS on financial reporting.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain the master project schedule. Track progress, identify delays, and implement recovery plans.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks. Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Quality & HSE Oversight: Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and that Health, Safety, and Environmental policies are strictly adhered to.
  • Contract Administration: Administer the main contract and subcontracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Project Closure: Ensure all project documentation is complete, handover to the client is smooth, and lessons learned are captured.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in a relevant industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and MS Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and contract law.
