Responsibilities:

Internal

Support senior team members in the execution of project finance transactions, including structuring, negotiations, and due diligence. Prepare and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate financing options, project returns, and sensitivities. Draft internal presentations and investment committee materials. Conduct research on market developments, sector trends, and financing instruments relevant to renewable energy projects. Assist in the preparation and review of term sheets, loan documentation, and commercial contracts under guidance of senior staff. Coordinate inputs from technical, legal, and financial advisors into transaction workstreams. Ensure accurate data management and version control of financial models and project documentation.

External

Liaise with lenders, advisors, and counterparties to support lenders due diligence and transaction execution. Participate in meetings with DFIs, commercial banks, ECAs, and other financing institutions alongside senior team members. Manage ongoing reporting and covenant requirements across the senior loans of the Alcazar Energy portfolio of projects Help prepare external presentations for financial institutions, advisors, and project partners Contribute to the management of due diligence processes, ensuring timely responses to information requests. Build professional relationships with the lending community and other key stakeholders. Occasional travel required to our target markets

Qualifications and Skills:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in economics, Accounting, Law or similar field

Experience:

4-8 years' experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure finance. Exposure to renewable energy or infrastructure projects preferred. Experience in emerging markets desirable but not required. Financial Modelling Certification desirable but not required French or Arabic language skills would be desirable

Job Specific Skills:

Solid financial modelling and analytical skills. Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce clear presentations and concise analysis. Understanding of financing structures, key project contracts (e.g., EPC, PPA, O&M), and their impact on cashflows and risk allocation. Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously. Collaborative team player with the ambition to grow into a leadership role in project finance. Commercial acumen and eagerness to develop negotiation skills. Self-motivated with a strong interest in the renewable energy sector.
