Roles & Responsibilities

Manage and execute oil & gas projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring delivery within schedule, budget, and quality standards. Review and develop instrumentation and control (I&C) design documents including P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, and control philosophies. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (process, mechanical, electrical, civil, and automation) to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare technical documentation, review vendor proposals, and participate in technical bid evaluations for instrumentation packages. Oversee procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems (DCS, PLC, SCADA, field instruments, analyzers, and control valves). Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and ensure compliance with project standards and client requirements. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to maintain project objectives. Ensure compliance with international codes, standards, and safety regulations (ISA, IEC, API, ATEX/IECEx). Participate in HAZOP, SIL assessments, and other safety and risk reviews. Provide technical support and troubleshooting during construction and commissioning phases. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and vendors regarding instrumentation scope. Prepare and present project status reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline. 4-5 years of experience in instrumentation and project engineering within the oil & gas / petrochemical industry. Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, control valves, analyzers, PLC/DCS/SCADA systems, and automation integration. Hands-on experience with engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SPI/SmartPlant Instrumentation, Aveva, MS Project/Primavera). Familiarity with industry standards and codes (ISA, IEC, API, ATEX/IECEx). Experience in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems. Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
