Responsible for executing and managing the plumbing scope of MEP projects from design review to installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with specifications, timelines, and quality standards.
Core Responsibilities
1.
Design Review & Coordination
Review plumbing design drawings and ensure feasibility at the construction site.
Participate in MEP coordination meetings to resolve clashes (especially in BIM/3D models).
Coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams for integrated service layout.
2.
Site Execution Management
Supervise and manage the day-to-day plumbing installation activities.
Ensure that installations follow approved shop drawings, project specs, and local codes.
Guide subcontractors and site supervisors in plumbing system execution (water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, etc.).
Conduct inspections and resolve technical and installation issues at the site.

Documentation & Approvals
Prepare and submit plumbing shop drawings, as-built drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
Assist in securing approvals from consultants, clients, and local authorities (e.g., civil defense, municipality).
Maintain documentation for inspections, approvals, and quality control.
4.
Material & Procurement Management
Prepare plumbing material take-offs and BOQs based on IFC/shop drawings.
Coordinate with procurement for material delivery schedules and quality checks.
Review supplier/vendor quotations and ensure material compliance.
5.
Quality Assurance & Testing
Conduct site inspections and quality checks for installation and workmanship.
Supervise plumbing testing activities, such as pressure tests, leak tests, and chlorination.
Ensure systems meet specifications before handover or commissioning.
6.
Progress Monitoring & Reporting
Track work progress and ensure plumbing activities meet project timelines.
Report delays, risks, and required resources to the project manager.
Prepare daily/weekly site reports and updates for stakeholders.
7.
Handover & Commissioning
Coordinate with QA/QC and commissioning teams for final system testing and documentation.
Participate in the preparation of O&M manuals and training for facility management teams.
Ensure all close-out documents are submitted and approvals received from authorities/consultants.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems: domestic water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, sump pumps, water tanks, etc.
Familiarity with local and international codes (e.g., IPC, UPC, NFPA, Dubai/Abu Dhabi Municipality codes).
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, MS Office, and project management tools.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent coordination and communication skills.
