Job Objective
Supervise shipyard projects including dry docking, afloat maintenance and repairs, steel and piping fabrications, mechanical repairs, machining, blasting/painting, and electrical works.
Proactively manage project risks, resources, and issues.
Ensure successful completion of assigned projects in terms of time, scope, and budget, in compliance with Project Planning Policy.
- Ensure implementation of shipyard strategies and monitor project execution.

- Ensure product compliance and follow up on updates.
Shipyard Regulatory Bodies
- Ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
Owner Representatives / Class Surveyors
- Maintain professional relationships and respond promptly to requirements.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Assist in developing project plans; manage team performance to deliver within budget, schedule, and scope.
Implement Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for project organization and scope management.
Develop and update project plans with objectives, schedules, and forecasts; identify and report variances.
Ensure execution of projects within approved budget, scope, and corporate standards.
Prepare and present project status reports; highlight deviations from plan.
Execute project communication plan, assigning roles and responsibilities clearly.
Interpret contracts, class rules, and international standards as required.
Coordinate closely with subcontractors, classification societies, and agencies for project execution.
Submit required documentation: damage reports, repair procedures, quality checks, completion reports, and additional job reports.
Ensure accurate submission of paperwork with invoices; secure client/owner sign-off on completion certificates.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Competencies
Technical Competencies
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or equivalent.
Experience:
6-8 years in ship repair and dry-docking project management.
Exposure:
Best practices in leading shipyard companies (preferred).
Computer Skills:
Proficient in MS Office and web applications.
Language:
Business-fluent English.
Market Knowledge:
+ Strong project management practices and techniques.
+ Solid knowledge of ship repair (dry docking, afloat repairs, outfitting, fabrication).
+ Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, coatings, and steel repair work.
+ Familiarity with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
+ Good knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001).
