Job Description

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and managing project timelines and budgets. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning & Execution:

  • Develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for mechanical engineering projects.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders (clients, contractors, suppliers) to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of mechanical systems and components.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
2. Design & Engineering:
  • Perform mechanical design calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies.
  • Create and review technical drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA).
  • Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ASME, ANSI, ISO, etc.) and safety regulations.
3. Project Management:
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage procurement, fabrication, and installation of mechanical systems.
  • Conduct site inspections and supervise contractors to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Prepare and present project reports, including cost analysis and technical documentation.
4. Collaboration & Communication:
  • Work closely with electrical, civil, and other engineering teams for integrated project delivery.
  • Liaise with clients, vendors, and regulatory authorities to resolve technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, and operations teams.
5. Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure all mechanical systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Conduct failure analysis and troubleshooting for mechanical systems.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • years of experience in mechanical engineering, project management, or a similar role.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
