Job Description

The Site Engineer - Interior Fit-out is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and ensuring successful execution of interior fit-out projects on-site. The role requires strong technical expertise in interior finishes along with working knowledge of

MEP and HVAC systems

. The incumbent must be able to

read, interpret, and coordinate technical drawings/designs

to ensure accurate implementation and integration of services.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Site Supervision

Supervise daily site works for interior fit-out projects including civil, joinery, finishes, and MEP/HVAC integration. Ensure works are executed as per approved

technical drawings

, specifications, and method statements. Review and cross-check design/shop drawings to avoid discrepancies on-site. Monitor subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship and adherence to timelines. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and project managers for inspections, approvals, and progress updates.

MEP & HVAC Coordination

Review and understand MEP and HVAC

technical designs and shop drawings

. Coordinate interior works with MEP/HVAC services to avoid clashes and ensure seamless integration. Inspect installation of ducts, piping, electricals, and mechanical works for compliance with design requirements. Liaise with MEP contractors to resolve technical issues on-site.

Planning & Documentation

Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and highlight risks, delays, and resource needs. Support in material requisitions, quality inspections, and inventory control. Ensure site documentation such as method statements, inspection requests, and

as-built drawings

are updated.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

Enforce adherence to HSE standards at site and ensure safe working practices. Conduct regular quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and

design intent

. Ensure compliance with local authority requirements (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, Civil Defense, etc.).

Team & Stakeholder Coordination

Supervise site foremen, subcontractors, and workers, ensuring productivity and accountability. Report site issues promptly to Project Manager and propose corrective actions. Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Completion of assigned project milestones within timeline and budget. Zero major non-conformities in design or quality inspections. Compliance with all HSE requirements on-site. Accuracy in interpreting and applying technical drawings. Timeliness and accuracy of progress reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Interior Fit-out (or related field). 4-7 years of relevant experience in

interior fit-out projects

in UAE/GCC. Strong knowledge of MEP and HVAC systems (ducting, chilled water, piping, electrical, plumbing).

Ability to read, interpret, and implement technical drawings and design details.

Knowledge of UAE building codes and authority regulations. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office. Valid UAE driving license preferred.
