Project Engineer (electrical)
Job Description
Study construction drawings, IFC documents, specifications, and project scope.
Develop work schedules, manpower plans, and material requirements.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and other discipline engineers to avoid conflicts.
Participate in technical meetings with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
LV/MV distribution systems
Cable routing, trays, trunking & conduits
Lighting & small power installation
Earthing & lightning protection systems
Fire alarm and ELV systems
Ensure installations follow approved shop drawings, method statements, and codes.
Manage site teams, technicians, and subcontractors for timely execution.
Prepare shop drawings, load schedules, cable sizing, and BOQs.
Review and submit material submittals, method statements, and design clarifications.
Issue RFIs and resolve technical discrepancies in coordination with consultants.
Supervise testing of electrical equipment such as panels, cables, breakers, and ELV systems.
Coordinate with consultants for inspections, approvals, and final handover.
Close out snag lists and ensure smooth project completion.
Maintain site logs, inspection requests (IRs), MIRs, checklists, and reports.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management.
Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documents.
