Project Engineer
Job Title: Project Engineer
Department: Project Management / Engineering
Reports To: Project Manager
Summary:
The Project Engineer is the field-based technical and coordination arm of the project management team. This role bridges the gap between the Project Manager's strategic oversight and the hands-on site work, ensuring engineering plans are implemented correctly and daily activities are coordinated efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Site Coordination: Coordinate daily site activities with foremen, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure work aligns with the project schedule.
• Drawing & Specification Management: Maintain and distribute the latest revision of all construction drawings, RFIs (Requests for Information), and technical documents to the site team.
• Quantity Tracking: Assist in tracking quantities of work performed for progress measurement and cost control.
• Quality Control Inspections: Perform daily inspections to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications. Report defects and ensure corrective actions.
• Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Promote a safe work environment. Conduct toolbox talks, participate in safety walks, and ensure HSE procedures are followed.
• Progress Reporting: Collect data and prepare daily/weekly progress reports for the Project Manager.
• Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractor performance, progress, and quality on a daily basis.
• Technical Assistance: Resolve minor technical issues on site and escalate complex problems to the Technical Engineer or Project Manager.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Construction, etc.).
• 2-5 years of site-based experience in a similar role.
• Practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills on the ground.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to deal with diverse site teams.
• Proficiency in reading construction drawings and using MS Office.
• Understanding of construction methods, sequences, and quality control procedures.
