Job Summary:
The Project Engineer - Aluminum will oversee the design, development, and execution of projects involving aluminum-based systems (e.g., curtain walls, windows, doors, structural frameworks). The role ensures technical compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery while coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities: * Design & Engineering:

• Review and approve aluminum system designs (e.g., facades, cladding) for compliance with codes, standards (e.g., AAMA, ASTM), and client requirements.
• Perform structural calculations, thermal analysis, and material selection for aluminum components.
• Collaborate with CAD/BIM teams to create detailed drawings and prototypes.
• Project Management:

• Plan and monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
• Resolve on-site technical issues related to aluminum fabrication/installation.
• Technical Support:

• Provide expertise on aluminum alloys, finishes (anodizing, powder coating), and fabrication techniques (extrusion, welding).
• Conduct quality inspections and testing (e.g., air/water infiltration, load resistance).
• Documentation & Compliance:

• Prepare technical submittals, RFIs, and method statements.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations (OSHA), sustainability standards (LEED), and local building codes.
• Innovation & Cost Optimization:

• Identify opportunities for value engineering and sustainable aluminum solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies/materials to improve performance and reduce costs.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 3+ years in aluminum systems, facade engineering, or construction/manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, FEM software (e.g., STAAD.Pro).
• Knowledge of aluminum standards (e.g., EN 14024, AAMA 2605).
• Soft Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Certifications: PMP, LEED, or aluminum industry certifications (a plus).
