Position Summary

The Project Engineer will support the execution of real estate development projects from design through construction. This role works closely with internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure project success in terms of quality, schedule, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing development and construction activities across multiple project phases. Review construction drawings, specifications, and submittals for accuracy, feasibility, and adherence to design standards. Track project schedules, budgets, and milestones, reporting progress and identifying variances or risks. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure technical alignment and timely decision-making. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation using project management software. Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities, ensure quality control, and resolve field issues. Collaborate with permitting authorities to support regulatory approvals and compliance. Support procurement processes including bid reviews, contract administration, and vendor coordination. Facilitate communication across cross-functional teams to promote a collaborative project environment. Prepare and maintain accurate project reports, meeting minutes, and logs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in construction or real estate development, preferably in mixed-use or multifamily projects. Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, materials, and industry standards. Proficient in project management tools such as Procore, MS Project, or similar platforms. Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Familiarity with local building codes, permitting processes, and zoning regulations is a plus. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
