Job Overview:

The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments for a real estate developer. This role requires technical expertise in construction engineering, strong project management capabilities, and familiarity with Dubai regulations. The Project Engineer will collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure timely, safe, and quality delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Execution & Coordination

Support project planning, execution, and monitoring activities from inception to completion. Coordinate daily construction operations at site in line with approved plans and specifications. Ensure proper implementation of engineering designs, drawings, and technical details. Monitor progress and report deviations from schedule, cost, and quality to the Project Manager.

2. Site Management

Supervise on-site works including civil, structural, and MEP activities. Ensure safety protocols, risk mitigation, and quality standards are maintained at all times. Liaise with contractors and subcontractors to resolve site issues and technical problems promptly.

3. Technical Review & Quality Assurance

Review and interpret engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical documents. Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure work conforms to contractual and regulatory standards. Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Troubleshoot construction issues

4. Stakeholder Coordination

Collaborate with consultants and local authorities for construction activities as required Attend project coordination meetings for interparty coordination.

5. Documentation & Reporting

Review daily and weekly reports including work progress, materials, and manpower. Review technical documentation, including method statements, inspection requests, and progress reports. Track material deliveries and ensure proper storage and usage on-site.

6. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance

Promote and enforce HSE policies and procedures on-site. Ensure all site personnel adhere to safety standards.

Key Skills and Competencies:

Strong technical knowledge in civil/construction engineering Excellent understanding of construction drawings, design coordination, and construction sequencing Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Primavera (preferred), and site reporting tools Strong communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, and other local authority regulations Ability to manage multiple site activities and prioritize tasks

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent from a recognized institution

Required Certifications:

Dubai Municipality Engineer Accreditation (Optional) Required to be registered as a practicing engineer in Dubai. Society of Engineers - UAE Membership (Mandatory) Recognition and validation of engineering qualifications in the UAE. Primavera P6 Certification (Preferred) HSE Certification - IOSH / NEBOSH (Preferred) To ensure compliance with safety standards on construction sites. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent (Optional but beneficial)

Experience Requirements:

5-8 years of experience in civil or construction project engineering At least 4 to 6 years of experience in the UAE, preferably with contractor or consultant or developer Experience across site execution, site supervision and construction phases Familiarity with both horizontal and vertical construction projects is an advantage

Work Environment:

Based on-site Fast-paced environment with multiple ongoing projects and execution of unplanned works Regular interaction with contractors, consultants, and authority representatives

Salary Range:

Discussed depending on experience and certifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per month
