We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fit-out contracting and/or interior design industry in Dubai, with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, with a strong emphasis on

timeline adherence

and

quality control

.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Scheduling:

Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines and resource allocation. Monitor project progress closely, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks proactively. Implement effective project management techniques to ensure

timely completion

of all phases. Be flexible with changes caused by issues raised on sites.

Site Supervision:

Oversee daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations. Monitor the progress of construction activities, including carpentry, joinery, painting, tiling, and other interior finishes. Conduct

regular site inspections

to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions

immediately

. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure

timely delivery

of materials and services. Plan transportation and workforce in advance to ensure smooth operations on a daily basis.

Quality Control:

Implement

rigorous quality control

measures to ensure that all work is executed to the highest standards. Conduct

detailed quality inspections

and tests to verify compliance with project specifications. Resolve quality issues and defects

promptly and efficiently

. Maintain a

zero-defect

approach throughout the project lifecycle.

Safety Management:

Prioritize safety on the construction site, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines. Conduct

regular safety inspections and toolbox talks

to promote a safe working environment. Investigate accidents and incidents promptly, implement corrective actions, and report to management.

Cost Control:

Monitor project costs closely and identify cost-saving opportunities. Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts. Manage variations and change orders effectively, ensuring proper authorization and approval. Have good knowledge in material prices and applications to find alternative solutions when required.

Client Coordination:

Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and expectations. Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide

regular updates

on project progress. Coordinate with interior designers and architects to ensure alignment with design intent. Communication with clients must be carried out via email firstly, and calls or texting apps secondly, to ensure all MOMs or approval are documented.

Team Management:

Lead and supervise a team of site engineers, foremen, and skilled workers. Delegate tasks effectively, monitor performance, and provide guidance and support. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including daily site reports, inspection reports, and quality control records. Prepare

detailed progress reports

for management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and

risk mitigation strategies

. Document and track variations and change orders, ensuring proper authorization and approval.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 8-10 years of experience in the fit-out contracting or interior design industry in Dubai. Strong understanding of construction methodologies and materials used in fit-out projects.

Proven ability to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results

.

Excellent knowledge of quality control and safety standards. Strong organizational and time management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Considerations:

Dubai Market Knowledge:

A deep understanding of the Dubai construction market, including local regulations, customs, and practices.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Arabic language skills would be an advantage.

Professional Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as PMP or other project management certifications would be beneficial.

Additional Notes:

Testing their efficiency is important in every single responsibility/requirement/consideration above. Candidate must be quick and a problem solver. Salary: AED 12000 - 15000. Salary could be higher if candidate is top tier, but that will be based on final negotiation upon our interview with them. Mobile Sim Card, health insurance, and visa sponsorship will be provided by company Annual leave and tickets as per UAE law Working hours: 8 am - 5 pm from Monday to Saturday (6 days a week) Must have a UAE driving license and preferably a car
