The Site Supervisor / Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily construction activities on-site, ensuring all tasks are performed safely, in compliance with environmental regulations, and to the required quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage site teams effectively, and a commitment to delivering work on time and within scope.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety of all site personnel, visitors, and the surrounding public at all times.
Enforce compliance with company safety policies and local authority regulations.
Protect the environment from any potential damage or contamination related to site activities.
Monitor the quality of work and ensure compliance with project specifications and company standards.
Promptly report any deviations or incidents to project management and the safety officer.
Supervise, monitor, and manage all aspects of work within the assigned project area.
Prepare and review the daily work plan and communicate it clearly to the site team.
Ensure timely and proper handover of completed work to the Engineer in charge.
Submit daily productivity and progress reports to the Senior Engineer and maintain records for audits and inspections.
Follow all company procedures and maintain accurate documentation for site activities.
Adhere to company rules and report any incidents or policy violations immediately.
Authority:
Conduct performance appraisals for subordinates.
Provide recommendations on hiring or termination of subordinates.
Approve and revise the daily work schedule for subordinates.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant site supervision or engineering experience.
Familiarity with internal audit procedures and quality control practices.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and environmental protection standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
