Job Description

We are looking for a project engineer/ site engineer for Fit Out and Joinery to join us on immediate basis. You will provide complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope. Also responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

Please note that only candidates with interior fit-out company experience in Dubai as a project engineer will be considered for this role

RESPONSIBILITIES

Extensive knowledge of fit out & joinery procedure and processes. Prepare BOQs and quotations. Measure and calculate the cost of materials. Prepare tender submissions and take offs Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors. Read and interpret plans Contract administration. Responsible for providing complete quantity take-off, analysis, and estimate, and studies for all deliverables involved in the assigned scope of joinery, wooden and fit out works Should be able to handle both pre and post contract work, review the scope of works along with contract terms and conditions, and to prepare bill of materials/quantity take off/variations/invoicing, cost management etc.. Identify design and construct ability issues and analysis to determine construct ability. Define more cost-efficient alternatives to the proposed scope of project. Responsible for preparing and assembling bids and proposals for various contract types. Collaborate with operations staff and other estimators to ensure that General Conditions and Requirement items are appropriately captured in the estimate.

REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent Must have knowledge of production (joinery) and installation, and (joinery & fit-out) procedures. Should be eligible to handle sites alone Good communication skills required to handle clients Time Management
