About the role
Det-Tronics, a Carrier company, is seeking a Project Engineer specializing in Fire & Gas Detection Systems and Field Equipment. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the Fire & Gas Detection industry, with hands-on experience in generating relevant deliverables. This role requires extensive interaction with internal and external stakeholders to generate optimum solutions for customers, and may require travel in the Middle East and other countries as applicable.
Responsibilities
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Reviewing the Purchase order and highlighting technical risks on the project.
- Designing, programming, and commissioning of Field Equipment and Fire & Gas Systems.
- Designing and building Control Panels based on client requirements and standards.
- Generating and preparing detailed engineering documents for various clients as per customer requirements.
- Coordinating with clients regarding all activities of the project, ensuring timely approval of drawings, quality plans, and safety plans, and reporting the overall progress of the project.
- Being well-versed in the design, assembly, installation & commissioning of Fire & Gas Systems.
- Preparing project documentation, including Job Plan, Method Statement Procedures, Inspection and Test Plan, Engineering Documentation, etc.
- Commissioning and troubleshooting of field Devices from project sites. Preparation of site service reports.
- Carrying out a site survey and collecting design inputs for brownfield projects.
- Performing testing and commissioning, start-up, FAT, IFAT, SAT, ISAT, and calibration works.
- Providing training to customers on systems and devices.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- 10+ years of experience in the Fire & Gas Detection industry.
- Hands-on experience in generating relevant deliverables.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD is required.
- Knowledge of Fire & Gas Standards is mandatory.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
Reporting to: Project Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Middle East & India Region.
