Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer to join our team and support the execution of various steel-related construction projects. The role involves overseeing site execution, coordinating subcontractors and suppliers, managing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Projects may include structural steel fabrication and erection, metal architectural systems, steel handrails and supports, and customized steel assemblies on infrastructure and building projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise on-site installation of steel structures, handrails, anchors, brackets, base plates, Sandwich Panel and associated systems.

- Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.

- Coordinate with the design and fabrication teams to resolve any technical discrepancies or site-based changes.

- Monitor drilling, anchoring, alignment, and welding activities to ensure structural integrity and compliance.

- Prepare and submit method statements, ITPs, material submittals, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

- Track and follow up on document approvals, inspections, and close-out procedures.

- Assist in quantity take-offs, planning site activities, and aligning project timelines with engineering deliverables.

- Perform site inspections and initiate Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and Material Inspection Requests (MIRs).

- Verify welding joints, bolted connections, and coating/galvanizing quality prior to installation.

- Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, especially during high-risk activities such as steel erection, lifting operations, and working at height.

- Support the preparation of task-specific risk assessments and ensure their implementation on site.

- Collaborate with the HSE team to conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident reporting.

- Coordinate site activities with subcontractors, crane/lifting teams, and inspection agencies.

- Act as the primary site technical point of contact for suppliers, consultants, and the client's representative.

- Participate in progress meetings and contribute to planning, resource forecasting, and logistics coordination.

- Previous Experience In Land Surveying is a Must

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.

- 3-7 years of experience in steel construction or structural steel project engineering.

- Proficiency in Primavera P6 is mandatory - capable of preparing schedules, updating progress, and aligning timelines with project milestones.

- Strong knowledge of land surveying practices is a must, including setting out, coordinate systems, and working with survey teams.

- Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication, erection methods, and connection details.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, fabrication details, and engineering documents.

- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD; experience with Revit or Navisworks is an advantage.

- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience in elevated infrastructure projects (e.g., viaducts, bridges, industrial steel platforms).

- Experience with design coordination, site logistics, and multidisciplinary project environments.
